Welcome to 4th grade! I am Mrs. Brown and I have been here at Wilder for 10 years. I have been with the district for 12 and prior to that I taught in Upstate NY and in Madison, WI. Altogether I have a total of 26 years of teaching with this year being my 27th! Wow! Am I that old?!

My husband Steve and I have 2 children. Amanda our oldest just finished school last year and got married this past summer to a wonderful young man named Eric. And our youngest, Alex, just returned to his 2nd year at the University of Central Missouri.

As you all know by now Mrs. Squibb has joined our 4th grade team. She will be teaching grammar/writing to all the 4th graders. Mrs. Slaten will be teaching Science and I will be doing Social Studies. This gives us a chance to know all the 4th graders.

Every month we will have a book report and for this month of September the type will be general fiction. This will due on or by 9/30.

I am really enjoying your children and am looking forward to a great year! Hope to see you all at Open House on the 9/11.
